on this forum we're constantly subjected to peoples opinions and able to piece together a general census on if we (watmm) like or dislike an album.

sure, Anthony fantango may be able to articulate well or have strong knowledge ( not that the syro review really suggests this, tbh... half the review talking about nothing and then .. again .. comparing new album to previous albums and not actually describing the music ). but it's like, do we really need a single entity opinion to focus on? we are watmm. we are the music reviewers. watmm is like a living breathing idm metacritic with injokes thrown in for good measure.

Anthony Fantano is the most american sounding person in the history of america. He is also one annoying fuck, the attempts at comedy are awful and should be dropped, they bring nothing. He actually makes valid, in depth observations like a good reviewer should but they are only his opinions. Too often his reviews are being overshadowed by the irritating goofy shit he seems to think is his trademark. Fat bastard.

I'm having a lot of fun listening to this one. I really like the funkiness and am very impressed with the attention to detail. I can definitely hear his ability as a musician has improved although he's trying something new here.

This thread just proves how fucking useless those ``reviewers`` are. They dont even enjoy music those fucks. I really am against a reviewer. From the get go, reviewer is there to try to show you something about the music you didnt see or heard by making stupid useless reference and comparison that has nothing to do with the fucking tracks.

Its like a shitty recipe they follow. Fuck them. Fuck those magasizes. Since the beginning of pop music, those fucks with their condescendant tone talk about a artist work as if they understand. They have brought nothing but hyping bad music and dissing good music. thats what they can only do.

A reviewer needs to have ambition. How can he even understand a good artist (which to be a good artist you need to be totally depressed, hopeless and/or on drugs)? t The reviewer tries to explain things, rationalize. A artist try to communicate a feeling, to express, to live.

We, watmmers, are the true reviewers. I think more and more, anyone who likes music enough to sit down, put headphones and listen without playing with their iphones, will come in forum to find what they like. Magasines are for the crowd and for the people who doesn't listen to music like we do.

Drukqs was an incredible trip into extensive detail. I still find shit in that album where I'm thinking "how the fuck did he do that?"

It's by far the most ornate of his catalogue.

Yeah Fantano has jumped the shark with this one.

I have a hard time to understand how anyone could really like minipops, but at the same time thinks the entire album is so so (a strong 6). Either his expectations are to blame, or I'm just a fanboy. A strong 6... What the hell was he thinking?
