I got one of those - not tried a gig yet since I've got it but it's great for field recording samples.

Think the Rode one is available with a lightning connection now tho, which is 24bit.

Anyway back OT, is it much different to the Krakow set?? I am going to wait for a master before listening so sorry for being lazy :)

it was great! Also always funny to see people with their fingers in their ears during Haswells set :)

I'd probably be one of those people if I didn't bring ear plugs. Although i'm a huge harsh noise fan, I've stopped being embarrassed at trying to protect my ears from permanent hearing damage. High pitched noises and stuff are fine but when it reaches a certain threshold where you actually feel your inner ear cilia dying, not worth the experience (unless of course it's Autechre, which is why protecting ears during opening act makes sense)

Yeah man, i too go to harsh noise stuff, and im not embarrased to wear earplugs either. The constant ringing in my ears is worse enough as it is already. But tbh, Haswells set wasnt that harsh/loud :emotawesomepm9:

Listening now, it's awesome man.

Anyone got any experience with recording gigs with a Tascam DR-05? I'm slightly concerned it's too sensitive for this sort of stuff.

yeah i could use some recommendations, too, cause i'm planning to bring a similar device to the utrecht show. especially concerning ideal positioning...

Well if you're gonna record Utrecht I won't have to :cisfor:

I think there was a thread about Zoom recorders on here. Anyway the Tascam is supposed to have a limiter, my current plan is to just keep it in my breast pocket, put record volume on lowest and roll with it.

let's stand in front of one speaker each for a stereo field mega-(re-)mix ;)

I think a mate still has a pretty proper recording device, not through an iPhone but a real device. I should ask, maybe I could bring it to the Autechre gig in Utrecht :)

I'm really not into standing still and focussing on recording whilst I pop my live Autechre cherry, but let's see what I can do anyway!

and you probably shouldn't! i certainly wouldn't if it was my maiden trip...

another option: we take turns so everyone has his 20min to spazz out XP... i'll take the last one :).

seriously though: i totally decided to risk the integrity of my ears, lungs and sanity and stand right next to them speakers like a pillar if it has to be! but it could be only one ;) so if th555 if you don't mind i think that stereo idea is a neat one.

Well I'll be recording from somewhere at least :) I'm with someone and it's my maiden voyage (lol) and I just wanna spazz out obv.

So yeah just bought a ticket for saturday and am super duper exaited.

Anyone going to Rewire by the way?
