what happened to Jason? He was awesome and then vanished. hope all is well.

Been digging the Laxir comp, but would love a flac upgrade and all the missing additionals...

sadly I don't have a lot to contribute that isn't readily available already...

any chance of rebooting this project sans Jason?

Nah I think people realized this would actually take effort to do and abandoned it

Relatively o/t, but even though Ae themselves denied it (iirc), I find it hard to believe deco Loc isn't a remix of Being Boiled. The first two minutes or so are quite similar and at around 1:35 a voice that's remarkably similar to Phil Oakey's says "s-s-s-s-s-stop your" (as in "stop your sericulture"). From that point on there are some weird, vapoury vocal samples (which probably have an obvious source too) and the resemblances abruptly stop there, but what do you think about the first two minutes? Anybody else noticed the similarity?

in the AAA Sean said he was disappointed nobody had guessed the samples yet...

I have been compiling flac rips of AE n Gescom mixes (collected from hard copies using EAC and/or bandcamp/digital retailer purchases) for some time now. I use my flatbed scanner to grab the cover art in HQ as well. I'd be happy to contribute to the collecting process as it were and perhaps coerce a label to wade through the licensing hell and put it out. I should note that while I do have a rip of the Radiomix CD (used to own it and sold it two years ago) I have tried to source the remixes contained on it from elsewhere where available as the Radiomix is unmastered and generally doesn't sound as punchy as the others.

You guys ever wondered how the Earth "remix" was made?

It's based on the version from Pentastar, that's obvious (and not from Hibernaculum, as stated on some places) - but it's a note for note cover version, and not a remix. If you compare to the Pentastar-version, it's clear, that it's not a mix or distortion of that (there are tiny little differences that tell this), but an own rendition.

But I can't imagine the guys as grabbing guitars an playing Earth... And if that cover is made on synths and computers... - it deserves more than a credit: because it sound's a hell like live guitars.

I have added to this a fair bit since then :)

If only it all got re-released via the bleepstore. HD version of each track, take my money!

i had an attempt at collecting everything. made some wee progress. 

tried to ignore laxir and instead find FLAC uploads of each individual release the remix was originally on, to ensure it was *probably* actually a flac and not just mp3 converted to flac. 

it kinda gets to a point of diminishing returns and you hit a wall. there's certain vinyl only tracks as well where different rips are at different speeds or have differences in how they're EQed or something and ended up choosing mp3 rips because they just sounded better.

the whole things a bit of a mess.. 

agreed that it'd be fucking Very Good if autechre and warp were able to get a digital archive up, but can imagine why that's a bit of a nightmare. it's just such a shame when a lot of their remixes are pretty damn close to the rest of their material in terms of quality .
