*refreshes nintendo website, posts every detail despite never getting response*

A person who makes music this weird can't possibly be a nice person.

skytree, don't delete your post like that. Now my comment comes across as really judgmental and rude.

You say that like it's a good thing.

Hahaha oh man yeah. My friend Bill (aka Mr. Bill/Electrocado) knows this dude quite well. He got to try on the mask the other day and said it smelt suitably of rotten underwear and burnt rubber. Seems Anklepants is surprisingly nice and very intelligent in person. Apparently his day job is building animatronics hence the dick mask - he helped do work for the Alien series and a bunch of others.

So basically he has a good personality, yeah that mask looked a little Giger-ish, I thought it was a Facehugger at first!

Thats cool, I want to wear that mask too. The smell description just made me more curious.

I've looked Anklepants up a few months ago and was surprised how relatively mellow his work is (theres even ambient on his website), despite looking like an intense circus monstrosity. That's another thing, it kind of irks me that people bring out their inner snob when looking at his cocknose and go "ugh how gimmick" and then raise their nose at it (eventho their own noses are the biggest of cocks(?)). It's just something thats entertaining. What's wrong with a performer that has made such a persona? I like the fact that he made his mask by himself, mechanics and everything, and that he also made a weird vocal microphone by himself. How often does this happen, I don't know. I'm just glad someone really crafts away at his instruments and persona to express themselves and entertain others. Should happen more, perhaps.

I find it amusing he opened shows for Fennesz (according to his website). I love Fennesz, but I really want to see how crowds reacted then. I bet many a cocknose pointed upwards.

The music is dire and the performance hipster juice, but i won't hold it against him. Different strokes, australian techno scene in the 90's had people doing this kind of thing.

i also want to give thanks to rubin farr for introducing me to this awesome performance, after 876 threads of asinine pop culture bullshit no one cares about you got one right. (well half right because you called the guy a wanker)

The mask and mic are pretty impressive no matter what you think of the music. I think it's enjoyable by the way, can see why some would call it monotonous or gimmicky but you could say the same about a lot of artists.

I went on a US tour with him back at the end of '12. Lots of good and weird experiences with that giant sound wizard.

OI saw him in Sydney a couple of months ago. i recognized none of the material he played it was meandering melodies and weird deranged jammy gypsy shit. Towards the end he played a very aggressive one it sounded like a drum kit sample pack mashed together. I ran into the barrier at the front of the concert and almost fell into him, was good loved it!!

Yes I have, the penis nose is actually quite an impressive piece of technology, but its pure gimmick. Nothing wrong with that per se, successful musicians need to get attention.
Trouble is i don't really rate the music, it's ok i guess.

yelling AAAA really straings the voice, and the tiny h really represents the struggle and hardship a vocal chord must endure for yelling AAAA
