I think newbound sounds optimistic too. It's like the fetus in 2001.

But mostly it sounds like a star exploding. Definite Kubrick vibes.

i'm not sure i could describe the feeling of newbound as predominantly optimistic. a bit yes, but it's more sadness (of course it's the wrong word)

l-event still reminds me of oblivion, especially newbound. yes, the movie ends with optimism in the air but so much is lost and will never be the same again.

Yep, absolutely, totally agree with that second statement. There is definitely a feeling of being far from home and facing the unknown (especially with the title). Optimism still seems like the predominant feeling to me, though. Maybe to me that optimism is more meaningful or stronger because of that feeling of loss or facing the unknown. Something like perseverance and the drive to forge on into the frontier in spite of tragedy.

For some reason, chenc9 comes to mind as a contrasting feeling, which to me is like watching the effects of some insidious manmade force unfolding and creating waves of destruction, but being relieved at escaping it by the skin of your teeth. I think tac Lacora is in that same vein too although instead of escape it's more like aligning with the evil behind the force, like going to the dark side and overseeing that destruction from a detached, comfortable vantage point.

I like it, not nearly their best, but it's okay...don't like newbound though, I find it way too cheesy (though I like the birsong-esque/space squeaks...not the lasers). But M39 is sick, Tac Lacora is a bit ae-by-numbers but still very sleek, and Osla for n is really repetitive but kind of interesting. I would rank it pretty low on their list of eps, but it's not bad. As someone else said, better than Move of Ten by far.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

fworr! osla for n is not repetitive at all (imo. probably cos I like it)..

the first half is kind of repetitive but that's the song building on its atmosphere and building up this weird anti-tension shit.

then the song completely inverts its rhythm and sort of re-aligns all of its parts into place and turns it into this whole new beast!!! WOWWWW.

love that song ^^

also..

move of ten is amazing .. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:catrage:

It's quite funny how everybody thinks tac lacora is amazing...to me it's just going nowhere.

But it doesn't matter, L-Event isn't a "track-by-track" EP !

My hunch is that newbound is in a major key. (haven't attempted to transpose) Sort of instinctive for it to feel optimistic if that's the case.

I usually listen to Tac. And lets not forget there was Oberman rmx and Syptixed. But thread is correct. We need new Ae releases every month day hour minute.

Osla is a masterpiece. As is this dot: .

Therefore I usually do not listen to it. It's too masterly for my ears, I decided I am unworthy.
