if the compression has already be made, converting a mp3 to flac wont uncompressed the files. once compressed, you cant go back, and honestly, it sounds amazing even in mp3

so CAT189 on myspace was actually all legit rephlex, right? 1more puzzle solved i guess

 

so i can delete that [flac] folder now? i dont hear any diference aswell, havent checked spectr tho

One did interest me - Hyacinth Labyrinth commented on one track saying she'd upload some old tapes and DATs too. Sounds like some nice stuff, 1 track put on Soundcloud 3 years ago, a few 3 months ago, and a few new. I don't think she's Richard though. The Caustic Window looks promising for a 1min thing.

Anyways, i'm going to bed, and i hope Rich does too. I'm up in 3 hours. Was going to have an early night, but had to get track ripping incase things dissapearde again. So excited i know i wont be able to sleep though :/ haha But it's all worth it!!! I know what i'm listening to at work ;) :D

I think one of their bloggers thinks this is his playground, and a great way to get "exclusive" stories. It goes from Factmag, to Synthopia, then shows up in my RSS feed. Funny how that loop works...

There is a tiny bit of extra hiss at the top of the spectrum on the flac.

I feel like '8 Utopia' should've been put in Selected Ambient Works 85-92. It would fit perfectly.
