That's what it sounds like to me. The emphasis and accent/dialect on the word fit so that night does rhyme with feet.

 

Exactly how I always heard it, it's a pretty clear recording but maybe the "when I eat" people got a 96k transcode from bearshare

whether it rhymes or not beetles do come out at night and don't come out when i eat

most rhyming songs don't perfectly rhyme anyway

yawning doesn't rhyme with morning

"made of this" doesn't rhyme with "disagree"

I've seen it asked in there, but only as "night or heat?" so not sure if he even knows the context :)

All sides on this are so confident that if he confirms anything many minds will be blown

If he says it's "in the heat" I'll have to look into counselling to get through it

At least "when I eat" doesn't put the emphasis on "the", but then again i'm firmly in the night camp so my opinions are questionable

I can just about hear it as "night" now that everyone's mentioned it if i force myself to, but it doesn't work. If he's saying night he says it in a really weird way that doesn't follow his accent. It's like Nyeet or something. Whereas "heat" follows everything and sounds completely normal. Listen to it and try to hear heat instead of night, it's definitely heat. Night doesn't rhyme with feet either.

No idea what the heat or night stuff is about but for some reason it's hilarious.

What i need is Nightmail, seems to be the only trak im missing. I'll rely on Stephen G to sort it within the next half hour, otherwise i'll haze him the middle of next week.
