the philosophy bs chatter is usually a consequence of fanbois being in some existential crisis. caused by either a lack of new tunes. or, ironically, by new releases being so good, their balls dropped and they stopped looking at porn, or stopped looking their girlfriend in their eyes. often in that order.

I wasn't talking about literal philosophy, It was just bad word usage.. I'd just like to know how he approaches making music, that's it. Noyzelab interview was mostly about gear talk or non-music topics. For me talking about something interchangeable like the gear isn't really all that interesting unless there's a unique feature.

I remember him posting that he was going to into his approach/how he tackles making a track, before the interview, but never really did.  which is why I brought it up in the first place. The guy's been making music for 3 decades and he seems to have his process down and I'd like to know what he's willing to share. It might help me skip some stuff that takes years to figure out or something.

Charming response, brisb, but that wasn't about you. Not specifically at least. Basically about anyone still posting in the thread. Including myself. ?

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

I just remember using the word philosophy and assumed it was. I was kinda confused as well but figured my post was too ambiguous or something.

it's all good, You're going to rub off the wrong way on some people, that's just how it goes. I'd definitely describe her as energetic but she is just a super fangirl.

It was great when Richard changed the title of one of his tracks to 'tracktitle [jessica cortes mix]. It was sweet and I'm sure made her damn day.

I'm sure it did. He liked one of my tracks during the SC dump and I was legit high for about 3 weeks straight. First week especially. Took 3 weeks for my mood to return to normal.

Remember when we all went to the Aphex Twin web site and voted on our favorite Soundcloud tracks to get mastered and put into an album ?

Did that ever happen ?

A load of tracks got mastered for the Bleepstore. Some were even pressed to vinyl.

There wasn't any 'best of Soundcloud' comp as such though.

Surprised the Orphans EP was never pressed to vinyl. The artwork and tunes would have made this a cute slab of wax.

badass tune, playing this right now on a lovely summers morning

This is a good reddit post though. Lots of material to fill a new album with...
