Until I started producing almost a year ago I had been jamming with my guitar and writing stuff with tabs for my imaginary rock band for like 6 years. It helps me a lot for building arrangements, like going beyond casual loops I'd be stuck into if I hadn't done any music at all before. I'm giving hip hop and techno a try too sometimes, but I really have a short attention span for these two. I'd just work on the drums and a particular sound for a bit and get bored.
