Enjoyable episode. Albeit some ridiculous scenes. I liked the little call back to BB when the cops referred to Chuck as a tweaker, meth-head. The Matlock pull was quite humorous to me. Nice to see next week should be a Mike-centric episode. Possibly detailing the scenario behind his half-measure speech from BB.

saul being a sleazebag in the old peoples' den is just assgasmic, they could totally make a "better caul saul" spinoff focusing just on that.

What was the look from Ehrmantraut to the girl (I couldn't familiarize) for? I'm not gonna ask the ending because they will clearify it in the next episode obviously.

His daughter I'm assuming. There's some familial tension. Jimmy giving him the business card stoked some "I'm not getting younger & need to reconnect" feelings.

This is prior to him having contact with his granddaughter back in BB

i have a prediction, something bad is going to happen to Saul's brother. He seems to be literally the only thing grounding him at the moment to not go full 'slippin jimmy'.

what you did. i see it.

Great episode - so much surrealism. Can't wait to see the next one - which I'm guessing will be Mike-centric.

What a fantastic universe they're creating here.

Never thought of this possibility. I did think of something bad happening to Chuck sending Jimmy into a moral tailspin.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was great watching Jimmy stand up for his brother even when perhaps, he shouldn't. I also think that some of these loose threads are going to culminate slowly into something greater (the skaters, kettlemans, toilet-guy, white shepherd boy woman). Obviously the Mike stuff is fascinating.

the happiness before walter white

Watched the first few episodes a couple nights ago.

I was kind of "eh" about it.

Finished House of Cards.

Found myself randomly thinking about this show and noticed that my feelings were positive.

Decided to watch episode 4.

Feelings positive. I am actually surprised how good it is.

Neighbour at the window who got her newspaper stolen was listed in the credits as Liz Liotta. I kept thinking repeatedly ''wow, that must be Ray Liotta's mum'to keep my mind from the extreme pain i was in. Nice to see Clea Duvall back on screens again, she was good. Episode did cram a lot of Mike into the last 7 minutes, which i thought was cool, kinda had enough of Chuck and his shit.

I like the show, glad they did a Saul Goodman spinoff, always liked that sleazy slimey smooth talking character, I'm glad theres more of him now. I hope the show doesn't get too much drama and tension as BB did. Loved BB but could go for something lighter now.

I didn't like the beginning of the fourth episode with young Saul. Found it cringey. It was hard for me to be convinced that he was supposed to be young and "bro", but thats just me I guess.

dunno, young Saul felt like Bob in a Mr Show era sketch working out Saul. It worked perfectly IMO. It felt like the 90s. Could have used a cockring joke, though.

I finally started watching this after a friend from work was praising it. I didn't know what to expect beyond the concept which just sounded lighthearted goofy to me. I coasted through the first few episodes because it surprised me just enough to pique my interest. But this last episode really did something for me. It was so much more poetic than anything I can remember from Breaking Bad.

I hope they keep this up. I really think they've found their stride. I just hope that, yeah, they don't just make it tension porn like BB. It's the whole of all these slices of life, offering you this low-level detail of the characters and universe while still propelling the plot forward enough to not let it stagnate. Brilliant balance between something really formalized (like so much of decent TV right now) and a loose, grimy, indie kind of flavor.

Just that much more tasty after wrapping up House of Cards a few days ago. After season 3 I've really cooled down on that one.

That was gud

Less than a week! I can't listen to this track enough! I wake up in the middle of the night with it in my head. I love Aphex! I'm so excited. I've checked this god-4-saken website everyday for fucking YEARS with NO news and we're so close! Holy Shit! Oh my god! Anybody else feel like this everyday? Can't wait to hear that METZ track in HD glory! My speakers and headphones have no idea what they are about to be put through! Fanboy I am! BRING IT ALREADY!

Jonathan Banks was a BEAST last night. It's probably hyperbole, but he deserves an emmy nod for best supporting actor just for the scene where he grills his daughter-in-law on calling the Phili police. The actress was generally scared I think. Watched the episode again after the first airing. Quality actor that guy. Kinda shines a light back on his relationship with Jesse from BB in regards to his son in some ways I think.

the music (along with camera/colors) was quite different from the other episodes, is good evidence that the usually cheese soundtrack of the show is deliberate imo.

Hold on loosely...dont let go...

some film noir musical nods last night. And .38 special. Which worked perfectly for that scene.

really good, never got onto the mike bandwagon during bb but this one was pretty much perfect despite being very straightforward and a tad predictable.
