That article is pretty old, so they were probably thinking this would be the reboot the franchise needed. But now that the internet has reacted to the trailer... oohf...

I'm sure Genisys will make a couple of bucks, but I'm 100% sure that the reviewers will tear it a new one. So if the movie doesn't land first place on the box office I don't think we'll see another Terminator movie in 2017...

maybe they can merge it with Blomkamp's Alien somehow.

they planned on making Terminator Salvation into a trilogy. when that tanked those plans were scrapped. the same could happen for this unless it does well outside of the country. judging by the reaction of the last trailer I think they're not going to get a lot of business. I was kind of pulling for the girl who bought the rights to the franchise, she seemed to really love the originals... oh well.

Terminator Genisys (Terminator Mega Drive outside North America) actually looks pretty good. And by that I mean it looks like shit that a child would make. And by that I mean it's awesome.

The next film in the series is simply titled "Termigaytor", where the resistance sends back a homosexual alligator cyborg (living gay scales on endoskeleton) to convince the T-1000 that they should go fishing on the swamps of Florida. Also, I watched the T2 trailer just now, and it's fucking horrible. But it did make me remember that T2 is such a good film. Heartwarming, thought-provoking, awesome action, awesome story, everyone in it was perfect. I was gonna write how the new Terminator film is an insult to Cameron's masterpiece, but then I thought... Maybe like T2-- new Terminator trailer is shit, but film is amazing? (no.)

We're as far from the last Matrix movie as T3 was from T2, surprised no one is molesting that corpse.

I think- somehow hoping, for franchise and nostalgia sake- that maybe there is another twist in this film? Then it wouldn't be a piece of shit of shit. Like maybe John Connor is actually not that robot ting, and the real John Connor comes out and it's fucking EDWARD FURLONG. HOW FUCKING BADASS WOULD THAT BE?!?!?! NAH, but then Sarah wouldn't recognize the robot ting as John. Fuck, or maybe the Terminator version of John Connor at least has pubic hair? So they show his shitload of pubic hair, and the audience is like, "Whoa, I din' expect that shit- hooooo!", and then it's like, the Terminator franchise is redeemed.
