Former hexagon sun associate "Christ." does excellent work, and people often compare him to BOC. Very strong discography. Also, check out the "recent releases" thread about "curio vol. 1".

They have a pretty unique sound, so there's not much that I'm aware of.

Christ. is an obvious one that comes to mind:

Bachel has a pretty BoC-y vibe: http://www.ampoulerecords.com/release_detail.php?label=talenthoover&cat=talent014

This compilation has a little bit of the early BoC feeling to it: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Music-Volume-One-And-Two/release/40985

Ulrich Schnauss or maybe Brian Eno but I don't listen to them so i'm not sure. :derp:

"I'm not half the man I used to be — but I'm twice the man you'll ever be."

can't think of many more, it's a difficult sound to find.

edit: is it possible to embed bandcamp links? or was that just a dream I had.

Freescha are somewhat similar in that the fuzzy, nostalgic melodies are present, the melodies themselves are of a *very* high quality and the productions can get dark as fuck at times. Doesn't get much better than Freescha for this sound:

Some of the artists on Ghost Box have a BoC vibe imo:

And this artist Salem showed me:

Erm, I'd say early Tycho is similar to BOC... Past is Prologue and Dive are very similar in vibe to BOC.

1991 - High-Tech, High-Life. Mostly ambient, no beat, but I guess they are huge BoC fans.

Also, they go their album title from this:

Leary, Timothy. "High Tech High Life -- William Gibson & Timothy Leary In Conversation." Mondo 2000 7 (Fall 1989): 58-64. Good discussion of William Burroughs, Douglas Adams, Thomas Pynchon, characterization, and drugs by the man whom Leary calls "Quark of the Decade."

can vouch for 1991 high-tech high-life. Dalhous is another really great group, I believe they're even a scottish duo. Their latest album, Will To Be Well was one of my favorites of 2014.

I have the strange feeling that I've forgotten all of this before.
