Weed is apparently the cheapest thing in Canada. And mine is still better :emotawesomepm9:

Speaking of pissing contests lol.

I'm not a "head" anymore, so it would all knock me on my ass. Better that way for me - and much easier on the wallet!

absolutely.

I only smoke maybe once a month, maybe every 3 weeks myself, it doesn't take much for me to get gooned.

Vancouver Island FTW

Saltspring Island is actually the place to be (assuming you're rich, white and over 30). Straight up full of "hippies".

Canada seemed alright from the brief glimpse I got of it some years back... Landed in Vancouver, took a limo to the peir and took off on a cruise up the coast to Alaska (which was amazing.) I'd like to revisit sometime though and spend more time hanging out. Winnipeg would be a closer option...

Winnipeg is probably one of the last cities you want to visit in Canada, in my opinion. No offence I hope.

LOL I think Snares pretty much summed it up.

Definitely lol.

I remember shortly after getting into snares' music, me and the gf were looking at the weather networks forecasts.... Canada-wide was reasonably cold, you know... -18, -25 etc....

Then we looked at winnipeg and it was -48 or something with the windchill, stupid cold.

We looked at each other and said "winnipeg the frozen shithole" and just giggled.

Yeah I remember Edmonton winters with temperatures like that. Fucking stupid.

yeah idk. i was in vancouver a couple of weeks ago in normal damp vancouver winter temps and then came back up north to the -40's and found it way more bearable. that moisture is a bitch.

winnipeg might be desolate, but there's lots of solid weirdos there and interesting things going on.

Pfft I'll take vancouver's winter over Edmonton any day of the week

yeah a wet cold is MUCH worse than a dry cold, the water sucks the heat out of you way quicker than wind dows. The coldest I've ever felt was after a few hours ATVing through some wet bush near Rouyn Noranda in October, and it was only about -2. I've been out in -70 on tundra before, and the ATVing was actually more painful

We have Mutek Festival in Montreal. They started small, but it really got BIG over the years. Cool place to hang out in Montreal. It was -25 Celcius here yesterday night. My car was stuck in a diabolical mix of snow and ice and I was freezing my ass off trying to get it out of there. The joys of winter...

the joy of houses built before the idea of a garage developed (or people using their garage as a storage locker, leaving the streets unnecessarily littered with their stupid cars (i'm not calling your car stupid dude /hugs)). Over here it's the fear of hail.

I love Edmonton  , it is my new home away from home. That said, I have only been there once - in early fall :emotawesomepm9:

I knew things must get chilly up there when I pulled into my hotel parking lot and saw that every car space had a hard-wired engine block heater outlet. Coldest it gets in my stomping ground, even intermittently, is -28C. I couldn't fathom another 20 degrees colder than that.

I live in canada. Fuck driving in vancouver and fuck bc ferries but come to the island and i like it also i am there now but not always but canàdians are nice so sorry for smug hikers (probably american tbh) smugging up your seattlle headspace also everything is expemsive tax me i'm canadian

Nanaimo seems so trashy to me. I have to drive through all the time. I havent spent much time there recently so i cant comment much. Just had some shit times there.

I don't spend much time inside the city of Nanaimo, just the countryside right outside of there.

It's beautiful + the people are really laid back and nice.

Agreed, Victoria is the shit. I have a few friends who live up there and I have never had a bad time up there.

I accept your apology on behalf of the rude ass people (possibly, if not probably Americans)
