The possibilities with these are insane, full velocity range with as many notes as the midi can handle

some critic reviewed this ep and said something like "madlib does instrumental hip hop better".

talk about missing the point and not understanding a thing about this release.

it's a major release. it's a huge dump of genius right in the face.

Been a while since I've listened this, I'm SO digging this again. One of my fave recent things he did, fucking love that buildup on the last track especially.

Did we ever find out when these tracks were made?

I assumed they were quite old, but apparently the Snar_2 wasn't completed until August 2014. Maybe the EP was intermittently recorded in the period between Drukqs and Syro?

And most of the tracks utilise that bit of kit, right? Guess the EP is a fairly recent recording after all.

Just got the jewel case version i wanted, looks sweet and sits better in my collection. It came with the aphex logo sticker but the other badges are what i really want.

Out of curiosity has anyone seen the japanese linear notes to CCAI Pt2.  I would like to know what it says.

Also with the japan release of SYRO is a history of aphex twin from 1971-1999 & absence of aphex twin to the release of syro.

Are they already on the net?

Yeah, a lot of the 'inbetween' notes reminds me of CCAI, if that makes sense. The funky ones.
