yeah i was thinking of that but the funny thing about it is they still managed to make a software modular a black hole for your wallet, just on a smaller scale.

Yeah the editor works pretty well in Wine. There's some MIDI flakiness but honestly I got that in Windows too.

I think sheathe was talking about that Wren synth though.

So the micro modular has 2 audio inputs that you can just use in your patches? Always liked the idea of them but this makes me like it even more.

Yeah, 2 inputs and 2 outputs. I often use one of inputs/outputs of my micro to process something. To cut low freqs of FMR RNC sidechain insert for example or to send gated pitch stuff to BOSS RSD-10 pitch input along with filtering and mixing with processed BOSS RSD-10 output using Y cable (RSD-10 starts to freakout in style of Pen Expers drums in this case). And then i still can use second input/output for bass or selfgenerating stuff.

Yeah it's nice for stuff like that as a little MIDI-controllable utility box. There is some very short latency so you need to be aware of that when mixing the same signal pre- and post- NMM (sounds like a static flange)

I bought a G2X a couple of months ago and it's the best thing ever, no exaggeration. It would kick ass if Clavia brought about a G3...
