thanks mate, this is awesome, is girl/boy included or giving that one a miss?

I don't think so, those are the whole 109 soundcloud tracks, release and title tagged + art.

Less than a week! I can't listen to this track enough! I wake up in the middle of the night with it in my head. I love Aphex! I'm so excited. I've checked this god-4-saken website everyday for fucking YEARS with NO news and we're so close! Holy Shit! Oh my god! Anybody else feel like this everyday? Can't wait to hear that METZ track in HD glory! My speakers and headphones have no idea what they are about to be put through! Fanboy I am! BRING IT ALREADY!

If anyone wants to copy my paylist .. (artwork is just random pictures, im still waiting on what the fans come up with on the artwork thread), some are missing (not all of them can be winners  ) DRRemix is donkey rhubarb remix, dont be afraid you didnt miss anything.

I've not listened to all the tracks yet gonna give them a proper listen after putting them on the mp3 player. Chopping 111 songs into digestible bitesize folders is something some of you guys relish, i started out doing it using that delightful googledoc as a resource but gave up because it got too confusing and many hours had passed, and i had much indecision about what track went in what folder, style or year. I've decided to wait and see what you music makers come up with and go with that, u do the hard work

Just had a look at Deer's folders which look nice and neat and am going to probably copy. Deer how did you go about arranging these?

Personally I kept everything in the same folder, tagged them with Artist "Aphex Twin" From the album "user48736353001" and assigned my favorite cover from the artwork thread.

Yeah, I think this seems to be the best option. Maybe I'll organise groups of tracks into discs to make it look a little neater in my iTunes library.

Also, is everyone keeping or ditching the track numbers?

I'm choosing to remove the track numbers personally. I don't want people to keep adding on the track numbers when mentioning the tracks in the future, seems quite pointless.

so you're choosing to modify the titles of the tracks which rdj himself gave us lol what

anyway when he enables downloads (if he does) hopefully the tracks will be tagged with a title. omg OCD is stepping in, i hope the titles arent too different from the file names he given us but i bet they will be

edit: wait no we can already confirm that the track titles are what is on soundcloud

look at the newest track,

the filename when you download it is

vibert remix 5 edit max c.mp3

the track title is displayed as

luke vibert remix [future music competition remix]

and that is also the title in the metadata, these must be the true titles were seeing i think. unless soundcloud defaults to displaying the filename as the title if no title metadata exits. idfk ive nev er uploaded to soundcloud

I removed the numbers so I can learn the names of the tracks better and find them more easy

"Whoa! Check it out! RO-BIGH-DUHS!"

sigh.. "That's Ribena.."

So um

What are we doing about title and filename differences since the 320 download upgrade

keep soundcloud titles?

keep upload filenames?
keep upload title tags?

put upload filenames in comments?

I understand what you're saying in that we should respect the original track names, especially since now it seems the file names differ from the soundcloud track names. What I mean is I'd rather refer to a track like for example "26 5" just as "5". But who knows maybe these numbers will grow on me, I'm all against changing track names to something different but I just wasn't sure if the numbers were even ment to be there at the moment of my previous post.

Everything in a folder on shuffle is working for me.

I would like to split them up into CD sized chunks though so I can listen in my car.

Get a 112 disk CD changer, and burn each track to a CD.

considering doing a full remaster of all tracks, then recording in HQ to a series of metal cassettes. serious.

That would be quite awesome.

nah, "a complete waste of time and resources" is more a proper term for it.

gorfman666 did some nice artwork

Decided to Split it up into 8 albums/14 tracks each. Named it "The Ravers Friend Vol. 1-8" and it plays in the order it was released. made some art too. This will be a little easier for me to dive into.

Do you mind sharing these beautiful artwork in high resolution? Thx man, oh what a week!

yeah youre right, the track is clearly titled '5' in a reference to '4'. He didn't truly start inserting random numbers into his track titles til Drukqs.

The numbers are just a cataloging artifact, if you want to keep them in to honor the slapdash spirit of the thing then fine, but I'll take them out cause I'm sure they werent present when the tracks were created/named.

I organized the tracks using ZoeB's list although I merged a couple of those shorter ''Old Tapes''. In Instance Tapes #9 and #10 went to the same folder. I figured that Richard had a reason (digitalizing the tapes etc.) to upload the tracks in the original order eventhough he posted that playlist which has a little different order. As for the titles I went tad unorthodoxly. I dropped the obvious order numbers but put them in brackets to the end of the title. Also decided to save those few alternate titles. Just to give an example ''5 sline'' goes with the name ''Sline [Jap Flute Energy Mix][5]''.

Thanks ZoeB for the list  !
