Just speculation based on releases of the last two albums. Nothing specific from Sean, except that he'd prefer to release an album and tour at the same time, and that we'd see it "sometime in distance."

I'd say exai is amongst their best work so I'm looking forward to this even more so than usual new ae,

whenever it arrives. I'd guess late 15/early 16

As much as I love everything that is ae and am desperate for more I don't want to rush it

It's not like they do things boc style at least, they are extremely consistent with releases - there is no complaining here

It would be nice if the some of the hype from long coming BoC and Aphex releases generate some additional pub for Ae. The lack of critical reception for Exai I know is meaningless but still pisses me off.

Man I would love a one-off EP though. It's been years since they did an EP that (in my opinion at least) was not in some way connected to a corresponding album release.

I agree. They have been moving so strictly forward and never relive past glories.. I wouldn't hold it against them if they did an LP5...2. I would actually thoroughly enjoy that.

I would like them to make something more explicitly melody oriented this time. But really sophisticated. Something like Oversteps but hard and raw-sounding. Proper "riffs" and gradations, less generative arpeggios. I always thought they have not explored their classical compositional skills enough. Early output was too basic. Now they have skills to do something really of classical quality. But that's just me. I am sure whatever they release, it will be a good album again anyway.

I'm not going to argue with more melodies a la Surripere, Nuane, Cipater etc
