admittedly i think this track is a bit overkill with that reigning melody getting a little ridiculous after a while, but even so, its so fucking good.

Couldn't put it to words myself but this is the exact reason why I can't get into Ufabulum. Makes my ears bleed.

i like the types of synth sounds hes using, but it seems weird that he has used that exact same feedback squeel sound at least 2 or 3 times now. i also think he should balance the high pitched metallic synths out with more bass...

I emailed Grant ages ago and he said it was unreleased. The mp3 I have doesn't have that big kick drum or ride cymbal to it tho.

This. I like that Tom still gets pleasure from doing the intricate beat f*ckery tracks and that he doesn't seem to care how off-the-wall his melodies are. Not always immediately enjoyable but the best music sometimes isn't.

It's funny. I would have said an AFX dump would never happen and I was about to post that about tom but u never know...

the glimpses into toms vaults have been rare where as with aphex u got little presents here and there that let u know for sure there was a whole ocean of tracks there. It doesnt seem like tom enjoys sharing in the same way that Aphex does.

Did anyone grab that before he took it down? I listened to it a few days ago in my car but now it's gone. BTW, Retape is a great artist from Norway. His last album on 030303 is awesome: https://retape.bandcamp.com/album/signals-on-the-double

I missed it, but the track that Retape played was most likely one of the two tracks from the unreleased Squarepusher 12" that Grant pressed on a white label (just a handful I think), Tom didn't want them out so they never got released. Cylob did a set where he played those two tracks straight from the 12", and the was recorded via soundboard (this was around 2004 I think).
