Idea: warp should reissue an analord cd boxset

Recommended Posts

Since Rephlex is RIP, I think there must be 100s of 1000s of casual aphex fans that have never even heard OF analord, let alone listened to all 11 eps. It's a massive loss to the community that these are no longer for sale and since they were only ever released on vinyl and file, I reckon now is the time to capitalise on that grammy win and let the world hear analord.

What the hell is a CD?

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

lol what's the difference between digital files & digital vinyls? I think there is no difference... digital will remain digital and analogy will remain analogy... why do you use the word "digital" into "vinyls"?

the difference between a vinyl/file only release on Rephlex and a compact disc/beatport release is huge when you're pushing your music to people who watch the grammys and read NME

I'd love it if Bleep could stock ALL his old Rephlex releases. I've only got a few and to be able to buy digital vinyls of everything would be great

All Rephlex full stop would be more than quite good

cds arent as good sounding as digital vinyls would theoretically be but would still outsell them tho nothing will outsell itunes

ok thanks but after that depends may be the turntable, cell and pre used, etc.

but i'm not sure there's a difference 'cause it remains digital... by its support quality 16bit / 44.1kHz...

The nulls.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

would love to see drukqs re-released as a black round thing

what's the point? it's already been released as a black round thing. I have one already. I don't need another one.

I think the whole point of the Analord series was the analogue aspect of it... so being on vinyl only was the point. Chosen Lords was just done as a best-of (although I strongly disagree on some choices) for the folks who may have wanted a sampling of Analord.

exactly, its not nearly enough to appreciate how good the series is (and I'm including the download-bonuses here too)

Well, Rephlex sold them digitally and I bought them all...

There's a difference between a digital release versus on CD in a box set...

That's just dumb and I disagree respectfully. I think there's nothing wrong with a cd release of the analords.

I'd love a boxset, but otherwise I really would love Bleep to sell HQ digitals of this amazing set of tunes.
