Idea: warp should reissue an analord cd boxset

I agree with whoever said the entire back catalogue of Rephlex should be made available somehow. I prefer digital vynils btw. Bleep, bandcamp, beatport and whatnot, I don't even care. As long as it's lossless.

As far as I know, all rights were given back to the artists. Since Rephlex quit, a couple of artists took it upon themselves to upload their Rephlex albums on bandcamp (EOD, Ceephax, Jodey Kendrick, Aleksi, etc.) and Bogdan Raczysnki for some reason uploaded everything on SoundCloud. So yeah, it's up to the artist in question wether it will go up, which is unfortunate because I would've loved that Rephlex webshop operating and updating occasionally :(

it would be nice if someone at least put the digitals up somewhere (again). that playlist is unreal.

There are a lot of artists that are dissapeared and we can't expect future releases now. With Rephlex active at least you had some hope that they would release something, now we don't know. Would like an interview with Grant to tell us more since he is in contact with all the artists. Obviously he doesn't need to tell us anything that the artists don't want us to know, we just want to know what are they going to do musically. Most of the main ones already are either at bandcamp or signed somewhere else but some are missing, you can follow all of them on their social media except Steinvord which only has his myspace and soundcloud without any update for years.

Does anyone know if Grant wanted to end Rephlex or he was forced to do it because of finances? If he wanted to keep it running why didn't Richard help? he must be insanely rich now specially after the Syro/Grammys. Sure, it was probably a lot of work running a label by yourself but I think he enjoyed it. I've known label owners for years and they never think of quitting, unless the are forced to because of external reasons, money being one of them, but with Richard that should never be a problem and the label could continue for ages, even if they release only a couple releases a year which im ok with. Their main problem is they always failed to properly advertise the label. Im sure it's like 1 out of 5 fans know Aphex Twin had his own label.

1 of 5 fans knewd about rephlex? i really don't think so. They kinda stayed underground and done things in their own way. I liked it, but fans surely knewd about the label if they started digging just a bit. It's one of the first htings i discovered about afex. Hell, much of his own releases were on rephlex, you just can't miss it.

And i don't think disfunct is about money at all. They had money problems with analords, but that was years ago.

Rich said in some last intervies that he wanted to stay friends with grant, not business partners. They had a good run, a very good run thru all these years, but at some point you just get tired of the same thing. It's not big as warp, and basically grant did almost everything by himself in last years, maybe he just got bored. Maybe not, i guess well never know.

After signing kendrick, monolith, wisp and others I thought it was a new start for replex, but it ended so quickly. Sadly. Maybe it was even better to end it all when label was on top of their game, rather than it would die slowly in years. They left as kings.

It was a money thing too.
