The coolest part about this is I had NO idea about this until somebody else sent me the link - hooray for JSON. Have since gotten in touch and we've got plans for historical vote stuff.

Hmm, seems I missed that the tracks were deleted. Means the play button no longer works on the voting site.

Deeply disappointed. It is what it is, I guess. :(

edit: and in context, I'm still damned grateful that this even happened *at all*. can't complain too much about 200+ unreleased tracks and the chance to work with the man himself on something, even if only briefly.

second edit: and the vote site isn't going anywhere, it still works, people can still vote, and i'm still seeing several new signups / votes per day, every day, since it was launched.

Big up xf for the setting up this entire project. I'm sure it'll prove it's worth in the future anyway (or maybe it already has), if not with Aphex then with other artists.

i can probably host the mp3's myself on the hosting site and rejiggle things so people can still play them but no idea whether that'd be OK or not

yeah. i got all the files downloaded but will need to spend a bit of time comparing with that big old spreadsheet and reformatting it all into one big folder kind of thing.

the changing titles / tracks going down and back up / syrobonkers tracks being reuploaded / etc. makes it a bit of effort to clean up and get in good fashion.

((i could just download someone elses effort but for some reason i like knowing ive done it myself and didnt miss anything lol)

Thanks for all your effort, hopefully the tracks will come back. I oticed the You Belong to Me track is not in the voting list yet.

Somehow I had missed that one too, wonder when he uploaded that one.

If I have everything correct it should be 267 tracks in total (that is inluding the ones he deleted in the beginning, girl/boy dark version and can't remember the other one) so there should be 265 tracks on the voting site...

So there must be 40-50 of these tracks that I still haven't listened to.

I starting picking my favourites out of the ones I have heard though. Does the poll still work and if so, when will it close?

poll still works, the play feature won't work if the track isn't on soundcloud but that won't stop you voting on it.

won't be going anywhere, will stay up as long as it's needed. Richard mentioned 'months to years' to me when building this thing, i thought the latter was a bit of a lol, maybe not.

it'll take it down when i hear otherwise :)

I intend to listen through what I can over the Christmas break and make a few playlists for myself, will then update my votes.

I don't even know how many tracks there were in the end, or at what point I stopped downloading them. And if they have started disappearing already, I guess it makes it harder to keep up.

my total is 306 but may be doubling up on some of the syrobonkers! tracks.

xf, is there anyway we can see what the votes were when the tracks got deleted? Haven't checked it in months, would be interesting to see where it got to in the end.

Oops, went on the site on a College connection, didn't see anything so assumed as it was linked to Soundcloud the tracks would be removed. Cheers.

Boring and disappointing results to be honest. No interesting pick ups, just the sheep effect of picking up most melodic, ambient stuff. Sucks.
