Aphex Twin - Live @ Snowbombing (2005)

So this is the third (and for the time being) the last of the three threads on my favourite mixes of the man, the first two being the Pukkelpop set and the Ultrasound radio broadcast. Just like the other two, I rinsed this mix to death for years and years, thanks to the relatively good soundboard recording... and the obviously great selection of lush tracks.

 

Reason I started this thread is because suprisingly this set wasn't in the download section yet, until now that is. Besides that, it's also being referred to a lot recently because of the amount of gems contained in here that were unreleased at the time of playing: The Tuss, an Analord bonus track, 180db and a track from the soundcloud dump. Also, there's a few noise tracks from Florian Hecker played over the dance tracks, constantly being panned, which makes this a particularly interesting document because a few years later he would expand on this idea but actually have Hecker next to him on stage with an amazing sound setup (I remember some people being disappointed because they mostly just heard noise from where they were standing).

 

I've found a pretty complete tracklist from a blog and I've added a tiny bit myself now, but it's still not complete. Feel free to try and ID the unknown ones!

Don't think so, no. It was uploaded in 2005, uploading dozens of livesets in 320kbps wasn't as convenient as it is today. Maybe the original source still has a lossless version, but I don't know who that should be (the Snowbombing crew? Aphex himself?)

never mind ;) i'll just listen to the music as i did before my audio quality ocd

 

( if i really wanted i could make a lossless set with these track, because i purchased most of the tracks digital. i should focus on important stuff to do :) )
