So I guess this is Actress under a different alias although I think we're all supposed to pretend we're not sure who is behind it... Anyway been definitely digging on the previews at the moment and will be gettin 5 on it:

They were selling copies at the Future Artefacts event over the weekend, only managed a quick listen, need to sit down with it properly this week.

This is out today, I believe (streaming on Spotify). Excited for more monochrome hypnosis.

is this album making anyone else's speakers vibrate like crazy? Must be loads of sub bass or something. Slightly obscene. Really nice weird stuff anyway, always a fan of this guy.

I like this, although definitely need to be in the right mood for it. Definitely on the danker syde of tings

I'm digging it, sounds a lot different than the first Levantis release. It sounds good though, the last two tracks are really strong.

Strange pacing to this album, on first listens the whole midsection seems to fly by. Im finding the longer tracks more memorable anyhow. Exploding Boxes and Jamaican Greek Style are both ace.

But interesting textures throughout, sounds nice on headphones.

Didn't realize this was an LP until just now... need to give it a proper listen, I vaguely remember liking the first release but not playing it often since the vinyl was sold out before I heard about it.

Is this confirmed to be Actress yet or is that an assumption? Could be a copycat I suppose. Whoever it is should change their name to Levantdaesh by the way, get with the program dude (or dudette).

Its an assumption, but to me its pretty clearly Actress. Both this and the TTT ep are littered with his production techniques and similar sounds. I believe one of the tracks on the ep even used the same sample as 'Dont'? Plus the whole timing around Ghettoville being the end of actress as a name/project.

For what its worth i think its lame that some of the journalism about this new album blatantly just call it a new actress LP, they should review it as Levantis and let people figure out and make their own assumption even if its obvious.

Also, his twitter sometimes shows screencaps of itunes lists with titles in preparation for dj gigs and whatnot... i've seen a few of the Levantis titles pop up here and there.

It's definitely Actress. The first EP contains samples from Ghettoville ('Music Hall' has 'Time' sounds in it), one other track has a sound from 'Silver Cloud Dream Come True' as well. The recent Ninja Tune x Werkdiscs collaboration is too great to be a coincidence, too. Not even going to mention the style/sounds used overall.

Either way, the music is fantastic. I'd love it even if it weren't Actress.

THATS HOW U NO U GOD WHEN YOU GOTA MODEL AND SHE THROW UP ON YO DICK BECAUSE ITS SO BIG AND YOUR IN A LIMO GOING TO A LIL B CONCERT - Lil B

Now that you guys mention it, I recall reading about the same sample thing a while back but had forgotten it already. Couldn't get into Ghettoville at all and sort of tuned out from Actress in general after that, need to check this one out.
