Get yerself Kid A and stop having the cliché idea that Radiohead is nothing but downbeat dirges

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

wtf guy (in the Canadian sense) you aren't expected to like everything touted as good, if you don't like it, then you try the next band.

And sure, you're allowed to have your opinion, but does it mean you should post it just cuz you can? Kinda feels like when people give you their political opines on facebook. They can, but should they?

fuck me, show me a band with some soul &/or balls at least..... "no i dont want to, go elsewehere....this is proto-emo wank place"..... and on and.......

its not my £$£ you're spending on this garbage after all, although i bet you all tapped up ahem slsk etc for this n that, supporting the band's artistic endeavors thru thick n thin

i'm not saying they cant play, or are shit musicians, or even make a racket,,,, but they dont half fuckin moan on and thats a fairly 1-dimensional description, granted, but it seems to cover most of the bases, n'est pas?

if u want a debate

next you'll be posting discogs links of Coldplay.......my elderly neighbour thinks they're delightful, i better check them out a bit more deeply too, maybe i've made an awful shallow judgement call here, a mistake i may never recover from.

what if i like them after 10,000 plays, will u like me then please?

don't listen to meshgearfox, cwmbrancity. you are totally right. just keep manically ranting and telling people who like radiohead that radiohead are bad until the people that like radiohead change their mind and agree with you that you are right radiohead are bad.

do you think if Jeff Hanneman rolled back into this world and heard Radiohead playing he'd pick up his trusted axe and say "lets jam guys"?

would he fuck

he'd throw that guff out the window, pronto, and the rest

warning, Oasis, another bunch of 1-dimensional nobbers, had this to say about them and while i put Oasis on a par with Status Quo for pub rock bollix i think whatshisface sums it up as well as any1 could:

  Quote

“I’m aware that Radiohead have never had a f***ing bad review. I reckon if Thom Yorke f***ing s*** into a light bulb and started blowing it like an empty beer bottle it’d probably get 9 out of 10 in f***ing
Mojo
. I’m aware of that.”

He went on:

“Technically, there’s better songwriters than I am.
Guardian
writers will tell you that. Have other people’s songs ever really touched a generation, though? Radiohead? When do people listen to them? Is it when they go out, or is it when they come in? Because I’m struggling to think.”

Weird how many people dismiss bands on musical content and then they tout more underground stuff by people who care more about how they look and being part of a cool movement. That's anti music.

Not saying that is you cwmb, it's just a thought that pops into my head when people diss certain music that has stayed true regardless of how popular it got. Radiohead have never compromised on anything ever, just made the music they wanted to, whether you like it or not.

it has nowt to do with "mainstream", purely an articulation that they're appaling, but good luck to any1 who can take care of their family n kids,

as the hive mind continues to fester i shall seek other threads for actual music

i would say the only compromise radiohead make is .. they know how to edit their music into consumable pop songs.

like, even the dankest dirtiest weird chord jams end up being verse chorus 3 minute pop songs structures in the end.

and i mean, that's not a compromise so much as it is a desire to make listenable consumable music.

but i guess that just really pisses off some people off ?

if you don't get it then you don't get it, same as if I don't get why you would listen to certain music. It's all good. if we all liked the same thing it would be boring. But dismissing like you do just makes you look silly and that is a bit sad because (not that you should give a fuck) my initial opinion of you is not a great one, and that's not because of your hatred for radiohead. It's a shame because we'd probably get on irl chatting about slayer.

I am a geriatric and you seem like a child but I bet you're around my age and stuck in some nostalgia loop and won't let anything else penetrate your bubble. Like a punk still living the dream.

Joking aside, like what you like and dislike what you dislike innit.
