 i was in a sealed case, so it could have been out past mars it still wouldn't have been playing 'in space', because there is no atmosphere in space for the sound to propagate through. Really though, do you expect these things to be thought through by rock and roll stars, "yeah cool, that'll promote vinyl records and the label and be so trippy mang." .. So let them have their fun, their innocent and deluded fun, it's not hurting anyone, well it might of actually hurt someone pretty badly, but nevertheless. heh. If they did want it to play in space, perhaps when it made the electric signal, they could have instead of sending it to the speakers, send it to a radio transmitter.
