Some startling performances in that Finnish one!  Man, celebrity singers are so weird.

 

Probably most of them are drunk. There's a documentary about making of the single and they are drinking beer through the recording session. Also I'd guess almost zero rehearsing.

Also, jfc, I didn't remember the lyrics are so cringy. Something like "we are the world" is cheesy yes, but it's about unity of mankind and all that stuff. The Finnish version is more like an anti-imperialist, anti-western anthem. There are lines like "the grass doesn't grow where the white man went".. But anyway this was a huge hit back then.

Pretentious guy might have a stutter as stutterers or stammerers can sometimes put on a fake voice to maintain fluency. I used to do it though not to his level when I was a covert stammerer years ago.
