yeah, it actually sounds like it could be some famous guitar solo now that i hear it.

I remember watching this when it was broadcast, it was really unusual to see something like it at the time on Top of the Pops, of all places - rarer still to see a 'live' performance on that show. Looking back now it's a little bit cringe, especially the prolonged scratch intro by Shadow and Ian Brown's wavering vocals... But hey, it got to number 8 in the UK singles chart! Back when the charts still sort of meant something.
