Interesting the Lex Records imprint is still around... I thought WARP shuttered that ages ago.

Yes, they're not related to warp anymore if I remember correctly.

yeah, fukkin' 'ell. Even i knew that, and i don't know jack about shit. Then again i was reading their wiki page for some reason or other the other month. I wonder why. I don't iisten to MF doom or dangerlouse.

A member of the non sequitairiate.

they have really shifted in a direction that I just cannot understand. this all feels so coffee shop to me, i wish they'd go back to the more technical stuff

If you read their interviews, they've never really been about doing technical stuff. To me, that's territory belonging to the likes of ae (and something they do very well). I think BOC have always been about the lush melodies, and the ability to transport you somewhere otherworldly in a nostalgic sense. Maybe their production processes are technical but I don't think they want the listener to think of their music as 'technical'.

The remix sounds like a follow-up to TH. The lyrics, and sound aesthetic just hit the TH vibe head on. I like it a lot.

While they may or may not be "about" technical, MHTRTC/geogaddi had a level of extreme time commitment that I'm not sure they put in to anything in the past 3 years

Not that any of it is bad, just underworked compared to previous stuff

Cool track, sounds quite dreamy. I haven't heard the original so I'm guessing that's the BOC effect.

Well you never know: something as seemingly off-the-cuff as 'Sundown' may have been agonised over for years just to get the right timbres and lilting performance. Just because TH doesn't sound as utterly dense as anything on TCH shouldn't imply that it was any less laboured over. I mean, these guys said in an interview that they went on a road trip to pick up a piece of vintage gear which ended up constituting 1 whole second of 'Cold Earth' :p

Instant classic for me. When it fades out, I feel sad because it's come to an end. That's always a great trick to pull off.

Gorgeous tune! Had it on repeat for the last week: that lift-off around the 2 minute mark is incredible. Very similar pads to Split Your Infinities - actually that might serve as a good intro to Mr Mistake...

Also: just started listening to TH again after a few months break. Damn it's good.

This song is like liquid meditation. Anyone dissuaded by the vocals should give it a few more listens and try to focus on the "floaty as fuck" vibe going on in the background. I felt that way at first (even being a huge TVotR fan) but now I love the harmony of the vocal steps with the synths.

ohh it's winter ohh nuclear winter

Whoa Nelly, official Instrumental version out today! All the details can be parsed together without the nasally vox (though I grew to appreciate them):

Hoping for purchasable HQ digital vinelz soon.

Thanks for sharing. It's nice that this is around, too. I actually liked the Dose One nasally vocals thing in the original. But this is nice, too.

Nice!

Completely forgot to pick up the original remix and the odd nosdam thingy as well.
