"FAV TRACKS: Like 8 tracks that aren't Decks Dark"

I think I'll be ok not watching this all the way through

I've only listened once so far... I feel like I can't listen to this unless I'm going to immerse myself in it 100%. With most albums I just listen while I'm walking or bussing wherever. But this album's all like "no, you need to go sit quietly in a forest/at the ocean/on a mountain or you're missing everything!!" F U Radiohead.

yeah its not ok to "just listen to it" you need to be on vacation at some remote place. I totally feel this way too

"you can ONLY appreciate music when you can travel to mountainy areas and sit in a tent"

increase of mountain sales skyrocket, alongside radiohead album

I seriously had to go find an igloo that had wifi so I could listen on a decent bluetooth speaker

Well, in my case it's a 5 minute walk or 15 minute bus ride to any of the aforementioned settings. But that still requires planning a chunk of day around it for optimal appreciation. All in due time.

thom is singing 'a moon shaped pool' in the beginning of identikit right?

huh? i heard 'wuh muh muh muh uh muh muh'

I just realized you are pigster right? stop changing your name!

yea man, listen to the muffled verse in the intro. I hear the title. kind of cool. similar to how 'in rainbows' was buried in reckoner

It's actually a decent review, written from the heart. Unfortunately for the writer (who appears to want Ok Computer 2) their opinion is incorrect.

Listened through the album several times. Production & arrangements are nice, but in the end didn't do much for me. The only thing I went back to more often was the last minute of Decks Dark. I could have used more of that. But even that being said, the drums felt too restrained, I don't know. The album is just there.

I haven't really cared about Radiohead for quite awhile, this album doesn't change that.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

The more mundane sounding tracks are starting to present themselves in different ways after five listens. It still hasn't really made an impression at all apart from Daydreaming, True Love Waits and Decks Dark but it looks like this'll need a long, long time to fully reveal itself.

What's wrong with Radiohead making a subtle and atmospheric album? I don't see the problem with that. Each reviewer to their own I guess...

I listened to it again, it's still just a big nothingness

I’ve been desperate to hear anything on this set that wasn’t the sound of Radiohead chasing their own tail, blissfully unaware of the requirement to pay anyone else the slightest mind.

lol. an artist should be thinking of other people instead of their art. really guy? great jerb.

Nothing bad, nothing great. I like that they've moved on from Thom crooning over bleep bloops, but now it's Thom crooning over sappy strings. Which is fine, but not very interesting.

Oh fuck. What an idiot. I absolutely despise such opinions. What a moron. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I would probably punch him in his face if my imagination of how he said it was right. Oh my god.

Then it's at least safe to assume it IS Thom.

So now I got past Decks Dark.

Summary after a few days: A very good album for me. Some tracks not catching me yet.

1 Burn the witch: Energy. Love it. "Thom howling like a wolf" is what I like.

2 Daydreamin: The mood. There is something in this track. Love it.

3 Decks Dark: Stellar

4 Desert Island Disk: Not for me, don't like such stuff

5 Ful Stop: Powerful, I like it, love will grow

6 Glass eyes: No insta love, need some listens

7 Identikit: Fun stuff. Percussion as fun as in Reckoner. My #2 after Decks. That choir! That 70s Captain Future porn synths - haha. Why not... Like the 2nd Thom singing passage, also guitar is nice.

8 Numbers: A bit like 4, not catching my interest, yet?

9 Present Tense: Nice, not more currently.

10 Tinker: Very very! interesting, need moar listens. That slight tune in the main chords. Also the strings are great.

11 True love waits: I don't feel it.
