Still waiting on vinyl from bandcamp. Anyone get theirs yet? I've already had a record (Ben Lukas Boysen) go missing from my doorstep this month, so I hope this hasn't fallen to the same fate. I am looking forward to seeing that artwork in all its glory...just as stunning as the music. I've been listening to this at least once a day.

New FACT mix

Scholefield’s FACT mix unpicks some of the influences behind Caramel‘s noise-smeared, pitch-bent, planet-sized emotional bangers – from the bittersweet heaviness of Boards of Canada to Lone’s giddy rave nostalgia, with appearances from Jeff Mills’ recently reissued Final Cut project, Robert Hood and Lee Gamble. Needless to say, it’s euphoric.

The bookends on this album ("Video Club" and "Rainbow Bounce") are superlative, I just can't stop.

This is good, but maybe I over sold it to myself before listening. Not quite what I expected. lots of growth potential. I didn't find it to be so much rave memories though.

Was trying to hold off, but you lot have convinced me - just bought. Can't wait to play it with some quality headphones.

agree with the general mood on this thread. a very strong release. one of the best this year so far without doubt and there has been quite a lot to choose from.

The end of Perc Rave reminds me of something so much, but can't quite put my finger on it. Like Severed Heads or Nurse With Wound or something along those lines.

pretty nice review of the album, I learned a long time ago to ignore pitchforks 'score' ratings but the written review itself is very favorable.

Tom Ravenscroft has been playing a μ-Ziq remix of Caramel on his bbc 6 show, which must be hot off the press because I couldn't find any information about it. Trust me it's a killer tune. It's here...
