You can look for the blue stars next to the items you voted for, and create a list of them.

That way you can revote for all the same items after you delete you vote, but add/remove any changes as desired. Sorry it's a hassle, the board doesn't have the best poll software for this type of poll.

I'm rooting for MRI machines cause they're the most IDM experience I've ever had in real life. Those sounds are the stuff of IDM fever dreams.

I'm really curious what an album based on wearing headphones and listening to nothing would sound like tho...

An album based on ordinary words that sound futuristic would be superb.

I laughed aloud (la is the new lol) at many of these because you are all amazing humans, I hope Being botanically ignorant enough to unwittingly buy the wrong plant that will engult the entire room eventually wins because that would make an obviously great topic for an album and is also very IDM obviously.

This took me like 5 hours to complete, cuz I had to keep on cross-referencing my selections with my custom text-to-melody outputs of each potential selection, that I had running on my Logic 9 cluster with 12,000 instances of the Space Designer convolution reverb (75 MacPros), to check for sonic aesthetic sensibility.

I'm sure I made the right decisions.

Iii dunno, man.  Right now I'm doing it (seriously, coincidental), and it's all right.  It's comfortable (Audio-Technica ATH-M50x), but it also makes me realize that I'm partially retarded.  I do it often at work, because I like to keep in the zone.  I sometimes even consider wearing sunglasses at work, so I protect myself from seeing the screen too vividly.  No sound and no vision can keep one in the zone.

Anyway, I had a friend in high school who always used to wear headphones around his neck, and sometimes he'd be wearing them on his ears and the cord was dangling not even connected to fucking anything, and it's like, "Then what the fuck you bobbing your head for, dude?", as if he was listening to some dope beats, all mumbling lyrics that he basically just pulled out of his ass.

So wearing headphones without listening to anything is good in the winter for warmth, but it's definitely not IDM.  It's borderline sociopath shit.  Like sometimes I'll walk around with a Zero Halliburton briefcase attached to my arm with handcuffs, and inside it's just nothing.  I bought a $400 briefcase, so I can carry around nothing.  That is what wearing silent headphones is like.  Like if you send a self-portrait of you wearing headphones with no music playing, stapled to your e-mail demo to Mike P, he's gonna fucking blacklist your e-mail address.
