Nice vibe to Darby - oooh the bass just came in, that was nice. I like the soft but distorted acid, you could play with that a lot I think

 

I love the bassline for Plink especially, I dunno why, it just feels alive, and the way everything works around it is beautiful, especially the ghost angel voices - this is my favourite. Also, the bassline is somehow catchy but not cheesy - it's memorable - which is a great thing

Literally? Yes. What I think you mean to ask is: "Do you know that Billie Holiday also wrote a song called 'Strange Fruit?' about violence against African Americans?" to which is answer is also yes. The real question is: Does this history render the phrase unusable in other contexts?

Panama Cat is great. I especially like the part after 2:32 - it has a weird melancholy feeling.

I also like how the track starts out sounding like an extremely (and fairly authentic) low-fi tune and then slowly morphs into something a lot more digital and clean sounding. The transition is seamless :)

Nice work! Here's my feedback (btw I'm listening on a good pair of Ultrasone headphones):

 

Snare is too low in the mix, not popping out enough.

 

There is too much ovelap in frequencies between the bass line and the pads, they are not separate enough.

 

The high pitched synth line that comes in around half way through the track sounds a little bit out of tune or the notes don't relate harmonically enough to the chords in the pads (in my opinion).

 

Hope that helps! Keep working on it, mostly nice vibes in the track :)

Hi guys! Dropping in with a new track, and some info about upcoming releases.

Lookout for my track "Chime" (along with some absolutely killer tracks by other amazing artists) on Mindcolormusic's V.A. - aux4412 EP starting in August (pre-order here), as well as an upcoming split EP on MCM in January. There are some more releases in the works, too, so stay tuned!
