it's a dumb, lazy sentiment, and it's wrong

bad actors weaponize it. firms like cambridge analytica deploy the messaging against target demographics they want to demobilize. 

foreign adversaries also weaponize it, because it serves to disenfranchise citizens from press and government

the strength of a democratic republic lies in participation. it's a direct correlation. if you want to weaken a country, decrease citizen participation. if you want the country stronger, we need more.

it's not all lies. they're not all liars. they're not all corrupt. it does make a difference. participate.

Are we so far gone that we can't come back from this?  If Biden wins, will this stuff continue to escalate, or will these people shuffle back into their homes and settle back into their shitty lives?  Were they just quietly wishing they could wreck this country but not doing anything about it before?

If Trump wins, will they continue this path of destruction, eventually refusing to leave the white house after two terms?  Will they cause so much damage and division that cannot be repaired in a generation?
