Guest lost cloud
hey! nice "mix", at the begining of your part with the beats I thought about "tuning" lol just like you do with cars, make it more powerfull... But after a certain time it becomes really great!!! but I think you should try to do your own music, it would be better. granty
iep said: Mr. Modular said: It was a joke, yeah? But since you're going down the serious route: Does every boc track match the quality of those two tracks? What kind of preset-synths are you supposedly hearing? And saying that the beat has no groove is beyond me.. And no synths are clipping. well, no, the newer music that boc released can't match the quality of geogaddi.. by far.. geogaddi was just so coherent and 'finished'.. i've heard that album over 200 times and i still keep discovering more and more details in the sound... one of those albums that you can just put on, turn your soundsystem up to >90db, and GET IN THERE, you know... it was a monumental piece of storytelling, unlike this 'feelgood', superficial 'TCH' shit... and sounddesign-wise it (geogaddi) is just stunning, with such a BIZARRE attention to detail.. and about yr remix/pisstake... those 'preset-sounding synths' that come in at 2:00 (those resonant sweeping pads) aren't really presets ofcourse; unless you were REALLY taking the piss:) but they sound so generic and plastic, not like the ultra-tweaked, processed-till-perfection pads on geogaddi, for example.. you know, there is no depth to it... it sounds too clean, too predictable and too generic to be really interesting.. and i do hear clipping/distortion from 3:03 onwards (especially at 3:20), although that's probably intentional.. plus about the groove of the percussion; it feels just 'off', and 'cold', it doesn't flow like those simple but ultra-detailed boc-grooves do... but whatæver.. this is all subjective and if people like this pisstake track and if it makes them wet their pants or some shit, well thats great, it must be great to live your life with low expectations and wet your pants over any music thats marginally better than banging some rock against a wall.. and i really mean that, thats no sarcasm.. Lets hear some of your stuff iep - Im really looking forward to it now. Guest Strange Attractor
Good effort modular, beat had a nice sounding quality, hihats nicely spaced. Love the way the bass line stays the same under the shifting chords of the original. Only thing that spoilt it a bit is the synth with the slow frequency pulse. I like the way it distorts at the end but it seems unnecessary earlier on.
