Something AFX happening on NTS

My only hope is that stream will run smoothly, but It can be difficult with huge net traffic...

I am intrigued by the way the press release reportedly describes it as a

“bespoke online visual immersion”. I like to interpret that as meaning a direct feed and no microphone over the crowd being mixed in. I also like to imagine Richard would insist on those conditions.

What if people viewing the stream at home could have some sort of control/input over the live visuals...

I still wonder why all this trouble for a live stream? 

Could this be the plan he was talking about, maybe it will turn out to become some kind of platform for future releases including visuals or something? 

I can't help but think there is something more then just live stream. 

Maybe all the hype has to do with the nature of his performance, what if he is doing a full on live set for Field Day? Maybe he has something special planned for this tour/show.

I never thought it was the houston track either. It sounds sick though. Nice to hear a longer bit like that.

 

I doubt this track is actually going to be played in the show though. Maybe. Hopefully.

If you don't hear how those synths are exactly the same tone, playing very similar melodies, with similar drum fuckery and 'groove' going on throughout, then I don't know what to tell you. The tweet isn't exactly the same, but it's gotta be cut from the same cloth, if not the 'final' version of the Houston Track as you're all calling it.

 

3/29 seconds on the clip sound vaguely similar (both are aphex, both have a skittery beat) vs the entire 6:58 second houston track which sounds completely different than the clip... I guess what I'm saying is there is far far far more differences between the two clips than similarities. 

But key point is, possibly we get new aphix twine. all good.

edit: it's kind of a moot point, doesn't really need further discussion. We're a few days away from hearing what apex tin and Werp records has in store for us! And then we'll know =)

You can hear evidence of him releasing songs using the same sounds within ODS and Syro. I don't think they are the same song but they are probably from the exact same batch.

Drum beat (and much of the melody) at the last 5 seconds of the tweet clip and from 2:26-2:30ish is almost exactly the same. If you guys don't hear it get them earholes dug out with some FUCKIN APHEX ACID.

Definitely made at the same time at least with some of the same riffs/bits/etc. I think they're from different versions of the same song, but...

Exactly, the Atlantis track and preview tracks as well the Houston tracks and some syrobonkers tracks were probably made around the same time because of the sound similarities. The Tuss and Syro had tons of the same sounds

Entirely live set would be fantastic, but the first teaser snippet of that house track makes me think otherwise. It'll prob just be a mix between live and DJ set.
