Great interview, Takahashi is a switched-on dude. The monologue is a beautiful looking and sounding bit of kit too.

I bet any money that when RDJ's talking about synthesizer demos, he's got Ignacio Marty in mind (sorry, I post links to this all the time, but they're so great):

That´s the fucking grandfather of the Tuss. Great finding, sure it´s in his 80´s demos collection.

Hey richard, share you full collection, you bitch!! We wanna hear

fuck me that's ace

Yeah, it's pretty friggin cool. Not as cool as watching Devin Townsend demo some gear alongside Sandor Clegane and give birth to an entirely new sub genre of music however.

the fuck you on about

This is seriously better than half of the electronic music scene currently. Not overly complex but it feels honest and quaint while still being interesting on various levels.

I sound like a jackass. But no matter, this is groovy shit.

Finally been able to listen to the track. Really nice melodies in that one. Wonder why this is being pushed by Warp though... Did this also happen with the Syrobonkers interview? Can't remember.

must make some time to get through the interview even though i probably won't understand anything of it.

Most likely an unpopular opinion, but korg funk 5 is potentially my favourite RDJ tune since Syro*

That main synth hook is proper addictive. Big love for when it harmonises with itself half way through the track.

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

nvm about no hype, can't help myself when papa posts like this.. also post pumping the boc subforum.... big things to come? :sorcerer:

I've got two simple piano pieces for simple minds to understand the difference of microtuning (or quarter or semi tuning that is) and I find this fascinating how polarised opinions people have about this. Some of them love it immediately (like I do) while the others immediately hate it (don't know why, you tell me), I was joking about microtonality as being the future but this could be actually the case. Oh and if you want to find some microtonality in AFX musicks, you should check The Tuss releases. :)))))))))
