And this is why you set trailing stop losses on volatile non-option trades/gambles. I haven't set mine yet though. Anything under 115 for GME seems to be the accepted low point for shorters to be able to exit their positions. Once it hits that it will crumble back to sub-10 in an instant.

I got my first taste of how quickly the stock market can leave you dazed, mouth full of blood, dick in hand, about 3 months after I started. I came up with this great idea (scalping, a well known bad idea)that because tqqq moves so quickly and often 0.5 percent at a time, if I just plopped my entire savings of £2000 into it, set a Take Profit for 20 quid, it would barely need to increase to win 2 hours pay. 

Went great for 3 days, 80 profit a day, 4th day, it dropped 20 percent in about 2 hours, 400 down. What the fuck now. Waited another day. Lost another 350. Got out, pissed off and raging. Next day, back up to my original investment,  minus my 750 quid. 

Good Times.

That also pales in comparison to buying bitcoin at 8800 with my then entire savings, only to have it crash to 2500 three days later and stay there for weeks, and weeks, and weeks.
