Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

this is the exact same concept of the last OPN record

Haswell's approach to the record was influenced by his experiences as a youth discovering music in the mid-'80s, during which time he found artists like Iannis Xenakis, Cabaret Voltaire and DAF, and labels like 4AD, Factory and Mute. (He also came to learn "that the adverts with the most interesting graphic design usually promised the most interesting music," as Diagonal puts it.) "What I'm trying to do," he says, "is think about how I felt and the energy and what this stuff communicated to me."

what the fuck

Pretty much the only two reactions one can have to most Haswell tracks.

My gf doesnt listen to em and she reacted totally unexpectedly to me when she told me, after the latest ae's show in zagreb, that she much prefered haswellz show to aez.

Edit: I remembet that i couldnt be in the room when haswell played... was too loud, somwthing like 130 db loud so we both left to drink something. Two concrete walls between us and the music was just perfect :) Too bad cause such loudness can really ruin a show.

Do you guys wear ear plugs at shows? I much preferred Haswell opening for AE with them in, probably a similar effect.

I've been attending gigs a few times a year for ages and never had any problems beyond mild ringing in my ears the morning after. Then at the start of December I went to a gig that didn't seem particularly louder than ones I've been to before, and my ears are still ringing 7 weeks later. I agree that having to use hearing protection at gigs is dumb and I wish that artists would collectively decide to play quieter, but since that isn't going to happen I strongly advise everyone to start wearing earplugs.

Yeah I already have fairly mild chronic tinnitus, I don't fancy it getting much worse so I wear plugs a lot. If you only go to a few things a year you can get away with it but if you're thinking some music is so loud it's damaging your ears, it probably is. Some people think decent earplugs improve some loud music somewhat... not sure how true that is but definitely the case with Haswell, heh.

That's what I thought until recently.

depending on the person the hearing can be very different for example its very difficult for my gf to watch bands or dj´s no matter who is playing even when she uses the strongest earplugs by alpine me on the other side am able to stand next to the amp without any problems  and ive seen the loudest bands on earth.

do we have any experts here who can explained that weird equipment known as ear ?

Just listened. Feels like he'll reach a point where, if you listen to all his rythm based albums in release order, it'll sound like an artificial intelligence trying to replicate the Universal Indicator releases, starting from scratch
