garbage sound. listened to it on 3 different devices with 3 different speakers/headphones and it always sounds like a blurry, formless and fatiguing muck.

seriously, compare those two, they're fucking 30 years apart:

those indie kids love it on their phone speaks I guess, still I've heard much shittier - the St. Vincent album for example sounded like crap - that loud ass Top40 sound especially on the percussion

I enjoyed the album I understand some of the gripes about the sound. For me it was less of the production, more of this vibe that the songs aren't as evocative - her voice is more polished and buried for example. I think it's a grower for me.

heard plenty of their tunes on the radio and they sound just fine but I've never heard anything to really prick up my ears and go wow!

I can see why people like them, just not really for me

Going to give it a go later today. Teen Dream is my favorite Beach House and a great album, period. Casually listened to everything since but nothing's hooked me like that did.

I like it. The chords on the 2nd track remind me of stuff I used to play on guitar back in high school 20+ years ago.

I really liked their bloom album from 2012, but thought the last few have sounded like too much of the same. I guess I should try again with teen dream as I never got into that one for some reason.

Drunk in LA is one of my favourite songs I have heard in years. The lyrics ruin me. On constant loop.

The rest of the album is alright, but nowhere near as good. I have only begun listening to them in the past month but think it would be interesting to shake up the formula. There seems to be room to grow.

Can´t say Drunk in LA has stood out for me.. but will listen to dem lyrics.  I really like Black Car, the hypnotic production works its magic on me.

Only a few listens here, but as a whole the album seemed frontloaded, but some of the second half a bit uninspired.
