Listening now.. I wasn't feeling the first 20mins of the stream at all, but as soon as the pads came in during the weird FFT triplet track I knew I was in for some real sound design

the first 30 minutes (1/16 of this monster) are like easing into the bath...

obviously just started again. this time on headphones in the dark. (aside from the watmm light)

Yeah, it gets more engaging as it goes on.  For the first couple tracks I was like "damn, this is waaaay too typical."  But once it starts delivering it delivers big.

Really cool way to premier new material. Just fucking flood the listener with like 1.5+ hours of new shit. No teasers, singles, etc. Just

yes, it delivers. and how it delivers. there is a lot of delivery going on. yet there is one particular part that is rather bad and spoils the whole thing in a way. but other than that it is a masterpiece and i'm looking forward to the other ones. some sequences i heard in this set were actually amongst the best autechre moments that i have ever heard. but as always it is not perfect, but pretty close to it. maybe one day we will hear a perfect autechre release. until then this will make me jizz many times

I don't know how you mothercuckers are listening to this shit again. I tried a couple hours ago and was too overwhelmed. Too much awesome to process. Will listen again tomorrow morning with fresh ears (and full balls).

on my second run through right now while playing sc2/browsing watmm so that i do not get too overwhelmed

definitely some nord in that track at ~1:40, drums sound very nordy

The part around 1hr 5 min is undoubtedly a riff/exploration on that huge bass part from ae_live. the one from cygnus's story and probably the most favorited part of that set. its insane!

It sounds to me like there is a lot of older material mixed in with some newer stuff, as opposed to all new material (total reworkings of the older stuff of course, same as they would have done for any live performance).  But yes, quality stuff through and through.  HYPE!

I wasn't expecting this in the slightest, i was thinking maybe they would drop one unreleased gem each episode and among their normal DJ thing. I am completely overwhelmed, especially considering the quality of the material.

I don't want to get my hopes up that all 4 sets will be 2 hours of unreleased Ae. I'm feeling so spoiled right now!
