The Orb - No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds

 

The album features guest singers and has been produced by Youth. 

 

There is a special Test Pressing but it sold out in sixteen minutes. There is also a CD with instrumental stuff. Personally, I'm not interested much. I only really like the Thomas Fehlmann Orb.

Yeah, the words 'Youth' and 'guest singers' haven't exactly piqued my interest.

 

I'll probably end up getting it anyway, but only as long as I pre-order and get the instrumental one alongside it.

Just get me more material from when the orb were good - uf orb era 1992 - more versions of "close encounters" and "majestic" are needed! (but I know there doesn't seem to be more than already released...well well)

Every time I look up who is behind a particular Orb album it always surprises me on quite how many people are credited as writers (in this album's instance: Alex Paterson, Kris Weston, Thomas Fehlmann, Miquette Giraudy, Steve Hillage, John Joseph Ward, Neil Fraser, Orde Meikle, Stuart McMillan & Martin Glover )

Yeah, "composing" isn't Alex Paterson's main focus I guess? ;-)

The Dream and Metallic Spheres. He also did a little bit on Chill Out, World, to be fair. I think that's the only album where he and Fehlmann are on the same record.

Oh, and he did 'Little Fluffy Clouds'.

Chill Out World was very good.

Kris Weston's new music, sounds great IMO, just an hour or so so far, sketches and parts, lush strings, some home made effects, a pitched beat and a majestic assassin embryo thing... just a couple of euro a month and who knows what might materialize...
