Actually it sounds like he's trying to stop the bullshit that Ticketmaster usually does.

Gotta say, this is the most positive thing he's done for a long time, in my eyes.

If it works. I just assumed the scalpers will hire a crew of people at $8.00/hr to buy up tickets.

yea totally agree. getting tix these days is the absolute worst with fees and markups after it sells out in .2 seconds

I actually got tickets to see them at the Meltdown festival (curated by Cure's Robert Smith) them and Deftones. 2000 capacity, tickets are gold dust.

Could be special, no matter how we like to berate Mister Reznor. We shall see.

Never seen them live before. White Pony is one of my favourite albums of all time, and some of their other albums aren't too far behind.

not the actual events was the first NIN release in nearly two decades that didn't to my ears sound like "deeper exploration of territory mapped out on the fragile, but with less self-destructive passion & more laptoppy glitch effects that will age very quickly" or "i'm a respectable composer of mildly experimental film soundtracks now", so honestly kinda hyped. feels like the trenzo may finally have found a way to rock the "old man//off drugs//still kinda pissed off" angle

Oh, agreed on the tickets thing - although the reality like others downthread have pointed out is the scalpers will hire scabs to stand in line and gobble up the tickets. Also, while Ticketmaster is teh evilz, Reznor doesn't mention the practice of getting the good seat tickets earmarked for giveaways and corporate relationships, which also contributes to scarcity even after the bots buy them all up.
