autechre: i seem to remember they both have day jobs, or had them at some point.

Squarepusher: ? No idea. I haven't heard too much from him though recently. Due for a release I reckon. Kind of feel like he might have a job.

boards of canada: they have got to have some kind of job... they release almost no music. Unless they are riding off of their album sales still somehow, they were HUGE albums, probably generated a lot of cash. I could see it either way.

Autechre - I know they live in different cities but no idea if they work regularly

Squarepusher - as a project name might be slowed down but he's def working. Tom did the soundtrack to this. I imagine between touring, licensing, and perhaps other work like this he likely does music full-time.

BoC - They have at some point as mentioned in a Campfire era interview ~ uni work - perhaps academia and/or public work. I would guess archive or library work at some point if I had to. They and their peers - Christ, Hexagon Sun, other electronic peers in the 90s always gave off this vibe as people who maybe work freelance and slip between living off art and day jobs freely. Working class unpretentious artisans or hobbyists sorts.

They mentioned travelling during Tomorrow's Harvest era interviews, NZ IIRC

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

I actually really like quinoa. Lots of nice recipes similar to pilaf.

(srry, haven't eaten yet today. Hungry.)

If you wantt to be true kvlt IDM you have to be homeless on the streets of Tokyo. This is how to get the gritty life experience necessary to Rephlex music. If you're homeless in Vitória, Brazil with a warrants in the USA, you probably aren't making music and could kill anything with a toothpick and music can't even convey that level of gnar and ruthlessness.

someone somewhere i think on the internet once asked if tom would ever put out a good album again and i think we have it here. i enjoy this more than his last couple warp releases w/o question.

i hope he never has to work a dayjob again and can do this kind of thing until he's an old geezer. it's aces. i don't think he has to work a day job. per autechre comments in some interview they said "well he's not got to work again that's for sure" or something.. based on watercooler talk at the warp HQ.  i wish the best for all these fucks. they've had such huge effect on my life through music and ideas and stuff. sentimental moment.

Good tunes from Lily for sure. Why Japanese though?
