I had the best possible listening experience hearing this for the first time: long drive today/tonight, had downloaded it earlier today before I left (thanks for the link Mr Donervan, was helpful since I was just on mobile), waited til after dark and I had just stopped for a break, put in on and blasted it as fucking loud as it could go in my car. Absolutely delicious track, made for big loud listening. That bass fucking rips, lots of catchy 'breaks' almost too, had some moments of near-dubstep pulses and kitschy little moments in the first part of the track. splesh middle section was a lovely pulling back an then just blasting the last bit with those big thumps that you couldn't quite grasp but definitely could still feel groove too...just a fucking killer track. Maybe better than any one piece from NTS? Only heard it once and maybe just gushing from a great first impression, i dunno.

Soundboards aside, 2018 played host to the biggest output of Autechre... ever. It almost seems greedy to wonder what's on the horizon, especially when NTS remains as bountiful as it is. Fingers crossed for some WARP30 related shenanigans in 2019!

the ae_live tune on steroids and then some. love how the beat never really seems to completely materialize itself, constant ebbing and flowing, craploads of singular events, typically hyper meticulous layer interactions, coherent macro drama.
