disk 2 of Xen Cuts https://www.discogs.com/Various-Xen-Cuts/release/49133 was my intro to ninja tune ~9th grade. i remember putting the first cd on and being supremely disapointed. a few days later i put in disc 2 and that was on repeat for a long long time. disc 3 is pretty dope as well

err looking at the tracklist again i might have gotten disc 2 and three confused. a lot of nice things on disc 3!

Music by Cavelight is indeed great but don't sleep on his subsequent albums (both NT and post-NT), the Music Scene, Uncle Tony's Coloring Book, and Robin Byrd Era are all great.  Dude's got some more recent ones as well that I've yet to check out.  Been wondering for a while now if ninja dropped him or if he chose to leave

Ninja dropped him. I read an interview where he said it was no hard feelings, but they wanted the label to move in a different direction from the instrumental hip-hop sound.

DJ Vadim - USSR Repetoire

That one's really good, as well as USSR: Life From the Other Side and USSR: The Art of Listening.

One Self is comprised of DJ Vadim, Blu Rum 13, and Yarah Bravo. Children of Possibility is a really good hip-hop album.

This is one of my favorite Ninja Tune releases by far, something I feel was under-appreciated.

Sixtoo - Chewing on Glass & Other Miracle Cures

also if you want to go more obscure for Ninja Tune I'd highly recommend Neotropic's "Mr. Brubakers Strawberry Alarm Clock", Flanger's Templates, Cabbageboy (Si Begg's aliases)'s Genetically Modified (All from their sublabel Ntone)

Sixtoo and Hexstatic are great too, but if you want the best Hexstatic sound I'd reccomend their second and third albums, Master-View and When Robots Go Bad, Flanger's Inner Space/Outer Space, Hex's Global Chaos which is dated but gold, Both Loka albums, Machinedrum's Vapor City/Vapor City Archives and both Wagon Christ's Musipal/Sorry I Make You Lush (I never listened to Toomorrow)
