The likes of Redeye and Hardwax filter all that out for you.

Subscribe to bandcamp label pages, as well as artist pages. Then you get emails about new releases from labels you know are quality.

true but that applies to any resource that isn't well curated, you have to find a gateway to a niche that clicks with you

it's finding a gateway that is so elusive at first
