Sunn O))) - Life Metal

Didn't rate Life Metal much tbh, I don't think I even made it right through to the end on first listen.

Pyroclasts on the other hand....well seems to leave it completely in the dust.

Treat your ear drums to a mega dose of the Sunn O)) drone, and have a listen.

Steve Albini has revealed himself to be a true hero of music. Old news to many, but yeah.

Heheh, my top choice is Altar (with Boris), (I'd actually put it in my top 50 albums of all time). It's marvellous and experimental, psychedelic but not a trip you'd ever want to go on. Different versions (vinyl, cd, Japanese) have different tracks bolted on the end. In fact talking about this album, has made me want to play it asap.

But as Stickfigger says Monolith and Dimensions might be best for the pure 'sunshine band' sound.

For what I presume is common sense I've never listened to music on headphones and read a book before.  Until yesterday when I finished Goethe's Faust 1 with Pyroclasts bleeding into my brain. It was fucking awesome.
