Paypal was someone elses idea. Solarcity was someone's idea. Tesla was someone's idea (Martin Eberhart, whose car was launched into space by Elon out of spite against him so he couldn't have it.)

He wants to be like best of George Westinghouse, but he comes off like the worst of L. Ron Hubbard. It isn't even Elon or Grimes that are the problem, but all of the bazingas that follow him like he is der fuhrer.

Yeah. Maybe let's rename this thread "Brain Computer Interfaces" and make it about that. Using Neuralink as a thread title is like naming the burger thread "McDonalds"

I'm taking a course in neuroengineering right now and honest to god this is all way way too overhyped. 

edit: like all of the science fiction BCI stuff is atleast 50-60 years away if not more unless there is some breakthrough particularly in our understanding of the brain.. the amount of research in general has been increasing but very little new ground gets covered...
