ugh...had to go to a meeting this afternoon with a potential customer who was a trumper. basically had to listen to a few minutes of rambling about Arizona blah blah blah before the meeting started. so glad everyone kept their masks on so one could see me both smiling and grimacing at the same time.

the rules in Nevada allow for ballots received after election day to count. I forge the window.. but it's up to Nov. 10th or something crazy. so long as it's post marked by election day.

that meme wasn't directed at anyone in particular.. i just thought it was funny. 

as for results.. usually we know who the winner is of the election on election night or the next morning. because it's less of a contest.. not as close. so, it's kinda in the bag by a certain time.. but they keep counting all the ballots by whatever the state's rules are.. it just doesn't usually matter to the outcome.. but they have to certify the election etc.. so all the data needs to be created and collected and all that. 

in 2016 we knew hillary lost the electoral college but new the popular vote was a different story.. but we didn't know that she wont the popular vote by 3 million until a few days later if my memory is correct. 

oh, should add that nevada isn't normally a mail in ballot state.. except for absentee ballots and stuff.. but the legislature passed a law and sent everyone int he state a ballot to vote by mail cue to concerns of COVID
