Rrose - Hymn to Moisture

listening to all the old eps and wonder why this fell so flat. bummer

I like this one more than the older ones

I think I prefer the EPs too, more focused.  But.. .still a good album, but definitely a little flat.

Wait ... this is the artist formerly known as Sutekh?

Interesting.

Sounds pretty good to a newbie like me. Must check out the rest of his work.

I'm sure there's plenty of interesting stuff on this LP but I'm just not drawn into it all. Feels very clinical.

Still doesn’t mention what pronouns to use. rrose may not be a trans woman but still go by “they”

I was under the impression that Rrose was a reference to Marcel Duchamp's Rrose Sélavy character.

Didn’t know about that. 
 

Anyway,  also checked out some of the EP’s. Also good, but much more, uhm, Sutekh like: brutal and cold. Nice, but it’s really hot and summery over here so it’s specifically the album that really hits the spot.
